At first glance Innsbrook looks like a big business community, but its business landscape is made up of hundreds of small businesses that are joining talents…Welcome to Innsbrook’s Small Business Task Force.  This task force start-up pulls together the talent of small business owners within Innsbrook to identify the challenges that affect small business and works together to generate innovative solutions to promote growth and prosperity.

Mike Del Bueno, one of the founding members of the task force, reports on the initial meetings. Mike is a start-up guy, part owner of the small law firm Whitt & Del Bueno located here in Innsbrook.  He is actively involved in this new economy and the Innsbrook business community.  “My company has been a small business in operation since September 2000.  I want to share my knowledge and experience with other small businesses in the community as well as gain insight from other businesses.”

Mike explains, “It can be as simple as getting the group together and reaching out.  Maybe a business needs a recommendation for an IT company.  Together we can help solve that issue.”

The Small Business Task Force is looking for other small businesses in Innsbrook to join.  The group has met two times and is still in start-up mode.  The first meeting began with 10 companies and has since grown to over 15 by the second meeting.  Mike explains, “It’s exciting to join now because members will help shape the founding goals and objectives of the task force and even help us pick a name.”

He continues, “We are excited about the potential of the task force.  We want to help businesses in our community run smoothly.  By working together we can identify business opportunities in this new and challenging economy.  We are even exploring sharing some value-added system among our members.” The Innsbrook business community, made up of over 400 companies and 20,000 employees, has always embraced the entrepreneurial spirit.  Delivering over 100 events and activities each year, the Innsbrook Foundation continues its ongoing support of the innovation and future of Innsbrook companies as sponsors of the Small Business Task Force.

All small businesses in Innsbrook are invited to join the Small Business Task Force which meets the 4th Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
